Role of the CCA Office

In the whole activity range of implementation of USO, the CCA offices are playing very important role. As stated earlier the schemes are implemented on the basis of cost sharing and support system, the CCA offices have to function as the field level channels/window for receipt and flow of claims and disbursements of support and inspection and verification of telephone of numbers or items of works to be done by the USPs under the agreements entered by them with the USOF. The elements of works discharged by the offices are listed below:

(a) Receipt of claims from USPs
(b) Verification of claims and release of payments
(c) Inspection and monitoring of public phones for  establishing the veracity of claims
(d) Proper accounting of all transactions relating to the USO Fund.
(e) Submit detailed returns and reports to USO Fund Administrator on receipt of claims, settlement of claims, requisition of fund, disbursement of subsidy and monitoring status and reports in prescribed formats.
(f) Coordinating with IP and USPs and holding meeting for facilitating discussion for sorting out issues of common interest.
(g) Inspection of sharable infrastructure provisions like towers and submission of reports to USO Headquarters.
(h) Liaison with State Government authorities, if needed, for facilitating expeditious support for infrastructure provisioning.  
(i)  Carrying out the work of impact assessment of the ongoing schemes.
